🐸 Frog Life Cycles in First Grade!

Ms. Jessica’s 1st-grade class at RES is bringing science to life! While learning about animal life cycles, students are getting an up-close look at the frog life cycle with some special classroom guests: tadpoles!

🌟🎉 STUDENT SHOUTOUT! 🎉🌟 Let’s give a BIG round of applause for EJ Gray! 👏👏👏 EJ, a RES student who is also a student at Hurricane MMA, had an amazing showing at the Good Fight MMA Competition in Lexington on August 15th! 🥋🏆 He brought home 2nd Place in both Gi AND No-Gi! 🙌 We are so proud of EJ for showing hard work, dedication, determination, and great sportsmanship! 💪⭐ Way to go, EJ! Keep working hard and reaching for those goals! We’re cheering you on! 🎊👏🥋

📚🍽️ **Step Right Up to Our Book Tasting!** 🍽️📚 Our 5th graders enjoyed a **Book Tasting** as they sampled and previewed books from a variety of genres! 📖 Students explored new stories, discovered different types of books, and had the opportunity to find their next great read. Who knows…they may have just found a new favorite! ❤️📚

Preschool Information: The last preschool registration before the start of preschool will be tomorrow, Thursday, August 27th from 9:00-2:00. More information provided on the flyer.

We are so excited to welcome our Eagles back to school! It’s going to be a great year!!! Some important information: 🦅Students will start unloading at 7:25 🦅No parents will be allowed to walk students inside the building.

Parent Drop Off and Pick Up Information

It was great seeing our Eagles at RES Open House tonight! We want to thank our community partners for coming and being a part of it with us!!!

Our Open House is Thursday, August 20th from 3-6:00. There will be many community partners in attendance. Yearbooks will be available for purchase and/or pickup that night. Yearbooks are $15. Also, the PTG will be selling Roundstone shirts for $10. There is a limited supply on hand but orders can be placed at a later date.

RES wants to say a big thank you to Brindle Ridge Baptist Church for their donation of school supplies! Our staff and students greatly appreciate all that you do for our school!

Summer learning is in full swing at RES! ☀️📚 Our dedicated staff is spending part of their summer break growing their skills and exploring new strategies, resources, and innovative ideas at the KEDC Stars, Stripes, and Strategy Summer Conference. 🇺🇸⭐

June 17th from 10:00-12:00 is a free fishing event for RES at Lake Linville sponsored by the Partners for Rural Impact and our coordinator Mrs. Jessi Cummins.
