WHAT AN AWESOME DAY TO BE AN EAGLE---AND A ROCKET!!
We had our 1st S.O.A.R. Rally today to kick off our Maroon vs. Gray family competitions for 2025! Students loved our visit from #RockCheer and their school spirit. Our student competitions required students to have each other's back and work as a #TEAM!
Throughout the spring, students will track their scores in the competition in: Attendance, MyPath Success, and Behavior. The winning "family" (Maroon or Gray) will get an incredible opportunity in May !!
We cannot wait to watch our Eagles #SOAR into Success!!

LAST CALL FOR LOST AND FOUND!!
RES Families--Each week we remind students to go through the lost and found rack to claim their items. Unfortunately, we now have dozens of items stacking up in our cafeteria. Cold weather is coming and there are literally dozens of heavy coats and other winter items here at school waiting for their owner. We have posted pictures of these items on our school's FB page for you to review to see if they belong to your student.
TO HELP GET THESE COLD WEATHER ITEMS BACK TO YOUR STUDENTS, PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO COME BY THE SCHOOL AND CLAIM YOUR STUDENT'S CLOTHING.
OUR CAFETERIA WILL BE OPEN DURING THE FOLLOWING TIMES:
**TODAY, JANUARY 2ND FROM 10AM TO 2PM
**FRIDAY, JANUARY 3RD FROM 9AM-NOON
You can also have your student claim their item at breakfast when we return to school (Tuesday 1/7).
Because we have limited staff working each day during the break, we cannot handle claims of these items over the phone, through FB Messenger, or in comments to this post--we ask that you collect these items in person today (1/2), Friday (1/3) or Monday (1/6) or have your student claim the item the 1st day back to school.
All unclaimed items will be donated to our FRYSC and other local agencies serving students in Rockcastle County.
We hope these items can be reunited with their owners as soon as possible. We also ask that families place their students' names inside their coats before we return to school to avoid them being placed in lost and found in the future.
Thank you for your help in this matter!
